Navigate the Future

Technology that enables you to create next-gen automotive experiences

Solving your automotive challenges

Every day we know you are hard at work making next-gen mobility a reality, be it advanced driver assistance systems, self-driving cars, or even vehicles that can take off and fly. To make this all possible you need innovative technology from a partner that has a history of successfully delivering into the automotive industry. Let us partner with you on your mission to make the future of automotive a reality.

Unleashing HMI creativity

The move to advanced next-generation interfaces has long been hamstrung by the lack of functionally safe graphics processing. Building on its rich history in the automotive market, Imagination was the first to offer graphics solutions built using processes that support functionally safe use cases, as described by ISO 26262, the safety standard for automotive electronics. Our Tile Region Protection feature enables the GPU to deliver critical driver information in a functionally safe manner, freeing up car dashboard designers to truly push the boundaries of in-car interface design.

With and without Tensor Tiling

Power-saving AI tech

AI, powered by neural networks, underpins both advanced driver assistance systems and the full self-driving technology that is around the corner. Our neural network accelerators have been designed not only for performance but to reduce system bandwidth; a precious commodity inside an SoC. Our Tensor Tiling technology organises tensors into groups, enabling them to be processed much more efficiently, delivering significant power and area savings.

Run it all - keep it secure

Cars these days have ever more applications running at once – music, sat nav and even games, as well as critical information for the driver. Our HyperLane hardware virtualization technology offers total application isolation ensuring all tasks are completely robust, so all of them can be run simultaneously on the same GPU in a completely secure manner, with no loss of performance. It’s kind of genius.

connectivity-without-limits

Connectivity without limits

The increasing sophistication of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) means vehicles are being equipped with increasing numbers of data-generating sensors and cameras. Traditional approaches to this data-rate problem are wiring-heavy and bandwidth limited. Automotive Ethernet is the ideal, cost-effective answer and our Ethernet Packet Processor (EPP) is the perfect solution to solve your networking challenges.

Our unique technology

Our graphics, neural network acceleration, and Ethernet technologies make up our three-pronged approach to automotive.

What Is ISO 26262 And Functional Safety?

To manage the complexity and define common expectations for functional safety, automotive manufacturers and suppliers collaborated to define a standard approach which was first published in 2011 by the International Standards Organisation (ISO) as ISO 26262:2011.
